The new elementary school will be a two-story building, with 53 classrooms including:

  • 1 PE classroom
  • 1 Art classroom
  • 1 Music classroom
  • 1 GATE classroom
  • 1 Literacy classroom
  • 1 STEM classroom
  • 2 Resource classrooms
  • 2 Flexible classrooms
  • 1 Early childhood classroom
  • 1 Pre-K classroom
  • 2 Special education classrooms
  • 6 Kindergarten (full-day) classrooms
  • 17 Grade 1-2 classrooms
  • 7 Grade 3 classrooms
  • 9 Grade 4-5 classrooms

 

Based on the design from Lincoln Elementary School.

 

The new schools could help relieve some of the nearby schools that are currently overcrowded, including:

 

  • Iverson Elementary School
  • Hal Smith Elementary School
  • Cynthia W. Cunningham Elementary School
